Group Runs

No need to RSVP to our weekly group runs — although our Facebook page is very active, in case you’d like to check in ahead of time — just show up! We welcome runners of all abilities and experience: no need to worry about whether you’re “fast enough” or “look like a runner”. If you join us, you’re a runner. Questions? Tuesday Night Hills- Run lead: Bob Zmirich (IM on FB or text to 609-502-3898)

at Sturbridge Lakes: meet at the parking lot of the Signal Hill Elementary School (Signal Hill Drive off of Route 73) for this challenging 4.7 mile loop, with options to add on. The run kicks off each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Most of the participants retreat to Ott’s for some post race food, beverages and retrospectives!

Wednesday Night Trails- Run Lead: Kurt Foster ( or 609-284-3852)

at Black Run Preserve: meet in the dirt parking lot of the BRP off Kettle Run Road (near Braddock Mill Rd). 6:30 start, 4-6 miles with various options, very pretty park with chances to see wildlife!

Thursday Nights- Run lead: Joe Bruckner (IM on FB or text 856-371-1561)

at Marlton Crossing Shopping Center: meet in the parking lot at the point closest to the old Olga’s Diner (in front of Pat’s Pizza and Fleet Feet). Run kicks off promptly at 6:30. Typically between 4 and 6 miles, various paces and training plans (intervals, tempo runs). Great run for beginners too!

Sunday Road Work- Run lead: Keith Wright (IM on FB or text/call 610-716-1639)

at Shawnee High School: meet at the parking lot at the end of the entrance drive for a 7:00 am departure. All paces and distances are available, and we place water and electrolytes approximately every five miles. We make sure no one runs alone and arrives back safely. We finish up with a post-run Dunkin Donuts gathering.

Sunday Trail Work- Run lead: Kurt Foster ( or 609-284-3852)

at Atsion Lake: meet in dirt parking lot at the Atsion Ranger Station office (plug in 724 US-206, Shamong NJ 08088 in your gps/google maps). 6am start (7am in fall/winter contact Kurt if not sure) for for usually a 10 miles loop, other shorter and longer options available. If you new to trail running or running in general, this is a great place to start! Flat and easy trail terrain will add a whole new angle to your running life! Usually retreat to Dunkin Donuts to join up with the Shawnee Road group afterwards

Second Saturday Social Run: Lead Bob Zmirich (IM on FB or text to 609-502-3898)

various locations around South Jersey and Philadelphia on the second Saturday of each month: Runs will rotate to various, mostly paved paths and parks in the area, including rail trails and tow paths. Will typically be between 6 and 10 miles, a later start time (around 9am), with a visit to a local eatery/bar for breakfast/brunch or lunch afterwards. A great way to invite non-strider running buddies to get to know us! Look for location on the Event tab on this site and on the Facebook site
